Food is our fuel, our bodies were designed to get their nutrients from real wholesome food. Metabolic Balance rests on the principle that our bodies are always seeking balance and health…as long as we can provide the right elements; the right fuel!

Metabolic Balance is an innovative, all-natural nutrition program that rests on solid scientific principles and that uses food therapeutically. No powders, pills or shakes, only real, delicious whole foods.

The program offers an individually tailored nutrition plan that is based on the analysis of over 30 of your blood values, your health history, your weight and measurements, your likes and dislikes as well as any medication you may be taking.

Your personalized plan will indicate exactly which natural foods you should eat during the reconversion (or rebalancing) phase and the proportions you should be eating them in (protein versus carbohydrate)

Food Plan

The foods on your plan are selected based on your blood values and current health history and are foods that will not put a strain on your system, that are easy for your body to utilize and metabolize and that provide specific nutrients that your body needs to lose weight, heal and regain balance.

As your personal metabolic balance coach, I will gently guide you throughout the process of changing your diet and lifestyle until you have reached your health goals. You will be amazed and empowered to look back at how easy it was to introduce and implement these healthier foods and lifestyle choices. Best of all; you’ll continue to eat this way because it’s delicious, easy and because you’ll have made the connections between what you’re putting in your mouth and how you feel and look.

You will naturally adopt this new way of eating and being as you continue to experience better and better health. As you progress with the plan, ALL healthy foods will be reintroduced as you continue to test and pay attention to your body’s signals.

The overall success of the program is attributed to naturally balancing insulin levels as well as streamlining digestion. The result of balanced insulin is easy natural weight loss, no cravings, better and more stable energy, less inflammation, balanced hormones, better mood and better sleep.  You will learn how chronically high insulin levels are at the root of many common health problems today and personally experience the benefits of balancing this key hormone.

Better digestion means less strain on the liver, less brain fog, clearer thinking, better assimilation of nutrients, less bloating and acid reflux.  In a nutshell, only once you are digesting and assimilating your food can you truly be nourished.

My ultimate goal as your coach is not to create a fussy or restricted way of eating but rather to get you back to a place of health and balance where your body can tolerate ALL foods including the occasional treat. After all, food is one of the joys of life, it should sustain, nourish and support us and so it should be celebrated, savoured and chosen carefully.

As a Registered Holistic Nutrition consultant, I offer an independent and neutral viewpoint. My training was not influenced or biased by lobby groups or the large food manufacturing industry. I don’t adhere to or promote any strict diets or fads (In fact, I’m pretty much opposed to diets.)

we are all unique

I acknowledge the fact that we are all unique and that some of us will naturally gravitate to certain foods that make others cringe. Food is a very personal affair and I believe in listening to your inner ding when it comes to choosing the right food for you.

A big part of my job as a R.H.N. is teaching you about the beneficial properties of foods so that you can make your own educated choices based on what is going on with your body. Think of it as building your health arsenal. Food is a powerful tool.

With the transformation package, I may challenge you to try different ingredients that were perhaps not part of your food repertoire. I will always respect your convictions and your speed of change. I may suggest tweaks to your diet and lifestyle and I will help make it all doable and livable.  I will assess the whole body mind spirit picture and may also recommend lifestyle changes that will support your ultimate goal.

Using intake forms I can determine which body systems require the most support. Based on your detailed food diary, I can help tweak or simply optimize what you are already doing.

Eight weeks in:
First, let me say I am never hungry and that was my biggest concern.
Weight… Loss has been slow for me, but that is how I want it to be… I have lost near to eleven pounds and three inches off my waist and two off the thighs.
General well being… Never felt better, and seem much calmer.
I certainly have more energy and less joint pain.
Digestion- I have very few problems now.
Sleep has improved, though not every night.

Quoi de mieux qu’un départ à la retraite pour choisir de s’occuper de soi-même.  Depuis plusieurs années je cherchais la formule magique pour perdre du poids, j’avais la motivation sans le bon outil.  Par l’intermédiaire de mon acupuncteur je suis entrée en contact avec Kim.  Dès cet instant je savais que j’avais rencontré la bonne personne pour m’accompagner dans cette aventure.  Avant de débuter, des tests sanguins sont nécessaires afin de déterminer quels sont les aliments qui sont en accord avec notre métabolisme.  Cet outil est unique à chacun et facile à suivre.  Le plus surprenant est le fait de ne pas ressentir la faim entre les repas.  Après bientôt 12 semaines, j’ai perdu 26 lbs et il me reste 10 lbs à perdre, je suis plus calme, moins de douleur aux articulations et meilleur sommeil.  Merci Kim, pour ton professionnalisme, ton support et tes bons conseils tout au long de cette aventure.
